Atelier oï
WonderGlass
atelier oï, renowned for its imaginative collaborations with some of the world’s leading brands, from Louis Vuitton to Foscarini, is an international studio of architecture and design founded by Aurel Aebi, Armand Louis and Patrick Reymond and based in the heart of Switzerland. The studio’s philosophy and practice are characterised by a transdisciplinary approach, with a marked bent for experimentation and craftsmanship. This year the studio is presenting a completely new project, atelier oï PRIVÉ: works produced in limited editions, the fruit of unique collaborations between the studio and carefully selected artisans from various countries. The collection uses traditional techniques of manufacturing to explore and celebrate the natural world, its resources, its phenomena and the relationship we have with it.
Gaïa is atelier oï PRIVÉ’s debut capsule collection, produced in collaboration with the expert Venetian glassworkers of WonderGlass. Since the establishment in 2013, Maurizio and Christian Mussati, father and son, have built the company leveraging on the bespoke glass savoir-faire, made in Venice, Italy, which encompasses lighting as well as handcrafted installations, working alongside renowned international creatives. Each product relies on the Venetian glassmaking techniques such as blown, cast and fused glass. By bonding traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design and art, WonderGlass consistently provides tailor-made solutions, offering the possibility to incorporate artisanal creations into projects of any scale. It collaborates with atelier oï, experimenting with forms and materials.
