Giordano Viganò
A refined carpenter kit, where the masterful Italian technique of cabinetmaking is applied not only in the virtuoso realisation of each object, but also in the research of refined, perfectly functional ergonomic solutions, to give added value to each tool.
Giacomo Moor
Giacomo Moor is a 34 year-old designer, who lives and works in Milan. He obtained a design degree at Milan’s Politecnico with a dissertation on wood, published by the magazine Abitare. Meanwhile, he worked in a craftsman’s workshop where, thanks to his passion for wood, he learned the profession of the carpenter. In 2011 he opened “Studio Giacomo Moor”, with the aim of developing his own creative projects within a more comprehensive framework, in an area that could be used both as a studio and as a carpentry workshop, where designers, architects and craftsmen could simultaneously share a common space and their own specific skills on a daily basis. Studio GM now designs and realises furniture and home furnishings for private customers and for companies, following the whole production process, from design through the realisation.
Giordano Viganò
For over fifty years, the master cabinetmaker Giordano Viganò has devoted himself, with great passion and creativity, to the realisation of objects, furnishing elements and accessories for both wooden furniture and writing desks, while experimenting with new, modern solutions. Glass, silver, bone and galuchat inlays harmoniously interact with the precious woods treated by the master’s experienced hands, following time-honoured traditions. In his workshop in Novedrate (Como), ideas become real projects and matter takes the form of beautifully crafted objects, thanks to the accurate selection of materials and the attention to details. Viganò’s vision is not only technically advanced, but also stylistically open to contemporary design trends.
