Agostino Iacurci
Rosetta Gava
Agostino iacurci studied Visual Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. In his practice, he puts a variety of media to use, including painting, mural painting, sculpture, drawing and installation. Often driven by site-specific projects, he collects a variety of materials, reworking and manipulating them to create images and visions in which he freely narrates and combines cultural history, personal memories, literary references and vernacular tales.
He has displayed his works in a number of personal and collective events, at various galleries and museums internationally. Since 2009, he has created monumental murals and installations for public and private organisations. He received the New York Award, promoted by Mibac, MAE and the Italian Academy-Columbia University (2020), and Cantica21, Italian Contemporary Art Everywhere Award (2021). He collaborates with international brands and publishers, including Apple, Adidas, Hermès, Herman Miller, La Repubblica, Penguin Books, Starbucks and The New Yorker.
Rosetta Gava is the owner of Studio Pizzol in Missaglia, where she creates art glass windows, mosaics, sculptures in glass and metal and mural paintings, combining different artistic glass-making techniques. Creation goes hand in hand with artwork restoration, harnessing painstaking conservation techniques, reconstruction and maintenance of artistic glass heritage. Passion, creativity, expertise and quality lie at the heart of every project this skilled and talented master craftswoman produces. Her studio work combines with a strong commitment to teaching, to spread and protect the secrets of stained glass, a historic treasure of Italian art which has become increasingly rare and exclusive. An artistic technique that has recently regained attention from designers for its value in interior decoration as well.
