Double Signature. A dialogue between design and artisanal excellence

Matteo Zorzenoni
NasonMoretti

Collection of stackable vases. The rare technique of the overlaid glass allows the different colours to be applied in layers and then incised, thus creating beautiful textures and unexpected transparencies, with dynamic optical effects. The vases are the fruit of the dexterity of this legendary Murano furnace, always open to contemporary design.

Matteo Zorzenoni
An incessant study of materials and the discovery of their unexpected potential is Matteo Zorzenoni’s professional calling. A teacher at IUAV University in Venice and at Madrid’s IED, he leads summer workshops at Domaine de Boisbuchet. After a long experience as a consultant for Fabrica, now he works alongside Jaime Hayon heading the Italian branch of the studio, while still researching into the world of fine craftsmanship. Along with Zaven and Giorgio Biscaro, he is the co-founder of Something Good, a platform for research and the promotion of design and communication. Cappellini, Mercedes-Benz, Replay, Benetton, Alcantara, Bosa Ceramiche, Miniforms, Agusta Westland and MM Lampadari are among his clients.
NasonMoretti
NasonMoretti is one of the leading manufacturers in Murano’s glass art. Back in 1923, it started its extremely innovative production of excellent artisanal tableware. By the 1950s, they had become internationally recognised as outstanding glass artists, and were awarded the Compasso d’Oro prize for their Lidia cups. Thanks to the inverted overlaid glass technique, with colour spreading on the inside of the object within a milky-white outer layer, the manufacturers were able to achieve a markedly modern look. They cooperate with important brands in the world of fashion, jewellery and luxury, and their works are exhibited within prestigious international shows and fairs.
