Double Signature. A dialogue between design and artisanal excellence

Bird, Diamonds and Stripes

A poetic and refined interpretation of the Venetian sunny streets, where clothes are suspended on ropes to dry, which reveals an extraordinary creative vision and a masterful artisanal interpretation. The feathers of the parrot, one of the symbols of India Mahdavi, are made with “ricci d’angelo” and “Venezia” needlepoints; the bird is suspended under a brass arch, evoking the gilded aviaries of the hidden Venetian gardens. The ideal, precious lace fabrics, suspended on a metal rope, recall the facades of some noble palazzos from the lagoon city: the geometries of Palazzo Ducale, in particular, appear in all their splendour thanks to a careful alternation of thick needlepoints, whose evocative names still echo the noble tradition of the Burano lace.
