PANAREA

The armchair was inspired by the very classic wooden “Cape Cod” beach chairs. It is a reinterpretation of this type of chair in a smaller version but still of significant  dimensions and with a solid back, very representative of the designer’s recent style. The piece is made from solid ash and mahogany. The cabinet-makers have expertly inserted some details on the back and the wooden slats are assembled using the classic Morelato “butterflies”. The rear part is not flat as would be expected but curved, with an original and surprising effect. This is a fantastic exercise of skilfulness in execution, where the beauty of the woods and of their alternating light and dark shades make the piece very elegant and exquisite.
