PIPE LIGHTS

After her visit to the Stylnove factory, the designer was inspired by the extrusion machine. So she chose to utilise it in her project, without working with a mould but exploiting the potentialities of the continuous profile that emerges from the machine and can be worked subsequently to add functionality. The result is a collection of cylindrical extrusions that can be mounted on the wall either vertically or horizontally and function as sculptural indirect lighting fixtures with leds for outdoor use. ‘The texture of the material makes it very pleasant to the touch and the various layers of glaze bring out the hidden properties of the material. A warm glow is reflected on the wall from behind the minimal monolithic volumes.’
