The anthropomorphous chair is made of a fabric which is 100% mimbre (wicker) sourced in Colombian Amazonia, gathered using completely ethical techniques that respect nature in full. Chris Wolston set out to design an object that was soft and inviting, a refined piece with strong ties to craftsmanship. “Many designers tend to avoid using the human form, yet the body has such intimate familiarity with furniture. Wouldn’t it be great to make a chair with a different kind of physicality, a chair that embraces you?” Wolston asked himself.
