“We are the last people on earth, and the last to be free”: so said the Caledonian leader Calgacus to his troops before meeting the Roman legions in the battle of Mons Graupius, AD 84. This project presents a collection of objects that play with our desire for a story, mixing storytelling with physical objects, questioning our current situation in which cultures are sacred, or national identities are static, and therefore must be protected from external influences.
